A daily practice

It’s been a week since I launched my first collection. I am delighted that one of the largest pieces was snapped up straight away by one of my subscribers. ‘New Dawn’ will be making it’s way to northern Ireland this week. To think that 6 months ago I decided to pick up a paint brush again, just for fun, and now I’m sending work to somebody I’ve never met before, well it’s a pretty good feeling.

On the lead up to launching the Soul Series I was spending a lot of my time preparing the product photography and online shop. I have to say I really missed actually painting. So I suppose that’s where this idea of a daily practice has come from. I started painting again as something positive I could do for myself. And I want to reap the benefits of doing that, just a little, every day. It’s also quite refreshing to start over and feel new ideas coming to the surface, after concentrating on one project for several months. So today marks day one of the 30 days of painting challenge. I’ll be posting about my creations on Instagram stories as much as possible, and uploading each piece for sale on here daily. Some will be finished articles, whilst others I’m sure will be more experimental in nature. But I know I very much still enjoy seeing those pieces from other artists.

So, I look forward to sharing more with you. Check out my pieces from the 30 days of painting challenge here

Take care, it’s a crazy world out there…

Kate
